He was born in Strathfield, NSW on 21 November 1920 and enlisted on 20 July 1941. He was a flying instructor before serving in No 457 Squadron from October 1943 to August 1944.

Colin enlisted and joined the Squadron in October 1943 and completed his tour in August the following year. He was later to become a flying instructor at Uranquinty and Mildura OTU's.

He was discharged 28 September 1945 from No 2 Personnel Depot.

Colin of Mildura and Irymple, Vic., and ex 457 pilot died 10 September 1995. Don Lambert, who brought the sad news to our attention wrote: 'Dad had a life-long passion for aviation which he passed on to me, so I knew he would have wanted his mates to know of his passing away.'
